As its name suggests, this young Spanish brand from Valencia has nothing to be ashamed of. It markets responsible 21st-century frames – made of fully degradable acetate in recyclable packaging. According to its founder Marco, sustainability should have been the norm in the eyewear business by now.

Proud follows strict ecological principles in order to keep the material degradable. You won’t find certain colours in their portfolio – they are impossible to mix without harmful chemicals. The frames are still very chic and their minimalist design makes them look exquisite for many years.
