Katka's world full of beauty and balance
Katka always knew her path would lead to a world full of visual beauty.

At twelve, she was already sewing her own clothes on weekends, fascinated by what could emerge from a simple pattern. By sixteen, she had it figured out – she wanted to work for a Swedish fashion brand.
After university, she made that dream come true and spent more than ten years looking after brand and communications. First in Prague, later fully based in Slovakia. It was her professional dream come true, during which she experienced everything from fashion weeks in Paris and big events in New York to regular trips to Stockholm and Copenhagen. As Katka puts it: "I've already had the chance to live my dream job."
Curiosity brought her to ZITA. When we opened our doors on Živnostenská, she became one of our very first customers. Gradually she went from loyal client to part of the working team. One thing led to another, and when ZITA grew and the new space brought with it the children's eye centre and eyekido optician's, she stepped into that story too.
Glasses have been with her for over fifteen years. For Katka, they're like jewellery or an accessory. She sees them as a detail that completes the overall look while carrying its own story. She has no preference for shape or colour. A frame has to catch her eye with its craftsmanship, material, and unexpected detail. In her collection you'll find a wooden frame in bright pink, but also minimalist pieces.

At ZITA, Katka has a role that goes beyond typical job descriptions. She's there when new projects are born, when growth happens, when the ZITA and eyekido brands catch new wind in their sails. She's fascinated by the energy that comes from creating something unknown. But what she enjoys most is finding balance between people and business.
She loves constantly moving forward, learning, and she's not afraid to face difficult and complex situations through which she gets to know herself. "I enjoy going to work. I'm lucky that I do work I love, and I shape it through different life phases as I need to."
Just as she consciously chooses work she enjoys, she consciously cultivates her free time too. She loves Saturday morning bike rides with her husband ending in breakfast, afternoon saunas and cold plunges in the Danube, simple forest barbecues, or offline adventures in a caravan. She likes to lose herself in a book's story, in the quiet of an evening run, or in the rhythm of ashtanga yoga, which taught her to connect breath with strength.
You'll find Katka wherever something's happening. Yet at the same time she knows how to stop, breathe, and enjoy ordinary moments. Maybe that's why she feels so natural at ZITA – after all, that's what the glasses we choose are about: balance between function and beauty, between everyday life and story.
