ZITA for Ukraine
We're not closing our eyes to the injustice that struck our eastern neighbours. At ZITA, we strongly condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine and offer several forms of help.

We're lending a hand where we know best. In the optician's, we'll repair frames free of charge for anyone fleeing the war. In crisis situations, we also offer to make new glasses. If you know someone who might need us, write to us or send them to ZITA anytime. We speak fluent English, but we'll surely find another common language too.

Beyond practical help, we stand with Ukraine through art. At ZITA, we reached out to Ukrainian designer Mykola Kovalenko. By purchasing his graphics, we've contributed together to selected organisations working either at the border or directly in war-affected Ukraine. These include the Slovak Kto pomôže Ukrajine, Magna, Mareena, Post Bellum, and also the local organisation Come Back Alive, which provides material support to the armed forces.
You'll find Mykola's graphics in our windows, but you'll also take them home with every purchase. On the back, we've listed useful information about the selected organisations you can contribute to.
We believe the most important thing is to remain united and create a safe space for those fleeing toward it. Every open door, helping hand, or even just a Ukrainian flag in a shop window gives people the feeling they're closer to home.
