Sylvia came to our photoshoot straight after a night shift. You'd never guess it, though! As an anesthesiologist, she works alternately in aesthetic surgery and maternity wards.

She often holds not one but two lives in her hands. Her goal in the operating room is always the same – to guide patients through their procedures painlessly and safely.

There's certainly no shortage of adrenaline, and Sylvia says that as a doctor, she's experienced almost everything by now.

Despite the constant pressure and hundred-percent commitment, she's convinced she chose her field well. She unwinds mainly through sports, which she's been doing since childhood.

"Because nothing in the operating room can be predicted, I have to be maximally focused at work every day. It's a time and energy-intensive profession. But every person working in healthcare eventually realizes they can handle more than they think."
