Terina in JPJ & Glare frames

"ZITA brought me a new perspective on opticians. It taught me that I can suddenly have beautiful glasses, and in that, it's unique."

When Terina started noticing beautiful frames around her and a growing community, she came to Živnostenská for her first pair of glasses.

Right there in the shop, she discovered that ZITA was exactly what she'd been looking for. Not just design frames, but also a human approach that genuinely surprised and delighted her. She knew she'd found a place she'd always return to.

"Suddenly there was someone who spoke with me pleasantly and naturally, who guided me. I didn't feel like they needed to sell me the most expensive glasses. In fact, at ZITA they told me several times that a frame didn't suit me, and I was really grateful for that kind of honest feedback."

Terina never studied marketing, but it fascinated her from childhood. Thanks partly to her parents, who own a small advertising agency, she saw how business cards and stamps were made.

In her final year of high school, she knew she wanted to work, so she arranged an individual study plan that allowed her to commute from Trenčín to Bratislava to work at an advertising agency.

In the world of marketing, she grew through various positions from agencies to cultural projects. The dynamic environment taught her that every day is different. Over the years, she organized events, produced exhibitions, and was there at the birth of the team working on Trenčín's candidacy for the title of European Capital of Culture 2026.

Today she's fully dedicated to the tamatam agency, which she founded with her husband Matej. Terina handles client communication, planning, and strategy development. Matej comes up with creative ideas, photographs, draws, and creates visual identities.

On their Instagram profile tamatam, you'll find plenty of travel inspiration. Together with their dog, they're on the road for much of the year, faithfully documenting their experiences.

Right now you'd find them in a camper van they moved into this year. It wasn't an overnight decision, though. They both left stable jobs, relocated to Japan for a few weeks, and around mid-April firmly decided to become digital nomads. This year they managed to travel through Poland and the entire Balkans.

"The world is so big and we have so little time. I'd like to gradually fulfill my dreams."

Of all her travel experiences, she most fondly recalls her honeymoon in Nepal. As lovers of mountains and hiking, they planned a circuit around Annapurna and set out on long routes without signal, tourists, or comfort, but with very powerful moments.

When she's back in Bratislava, she visits her favorite spots and occasionally drops by ZITA. She's worn glasses since childhood, but for a long time perceived them mainly as a functional aid. With us she discovered frames that naturally suit her personality, and she can't imagine not wearing any now.

Terina isn't afraid of experimenting and always welcomes advice. On one of her recent visits, she chose two round models – Chanteur by Jean Philippe Joly and the orange Ivano frame by Italian brand Glare. She rotates them with older pieces and takes them everywhere on her travels.
