Zuzana in Gaston & Dabrach
Zuzana photographs society and relationships. Through her lens, she examines how environment and tradition shape our lives, though she doesn't see her craft through a documentary lens.

Her photography is staged, meaning she thinks through and adjusts every shot down to the smallest detail. While the first layer is purely visual, deeper meanings surface under closer examination. She often steps out of the frame to create humorous, even ironic collages.
In 2018, Zuzana became Photographer of the Year, and her recent book "One Day Every Day" ranks among the 35 best photography books of the past year. Its binding resembles a leporello, and with its unique look, it's definitely a collector's piece.
A distinctive style

That Zuzana has a distinctive style is beyond doubt at the optician's too. She's the only owner of two truly exceptional frames. Her first model was the snow-white Dabrach from Fabiano's Northern Italian workshop. Most recently, she added the unconventional Gaston to her collection.

"Visuality is very important to me. For someone to look for deeper connections in a photograph, it first has to catch their attention."
