Clément Lunetier

Clément Lunetier transforms inspiration from aviation and industrial design into eyewear where every line has a purpose.

Opticians Vincent and Benjamin spent many years working in the optical industry, but they never had the opportunity to create according to their own vision.

In 2016, they decided to establish Clément Lunetier and opened their workshop in Eckbolsheim, on the outskirts of Strasbourg.

Two years later, they added their own production facility. From that moment on, every frame was crafted exactly as Vincent and Benjamin had envisioned.

Production has remained local, with all of their suppliers based in France. Most of them are located just a few kilometres from the Strasbourg workshop.

They draw inspiration from aviation and industrial design — fields where every line serves a purpose. This way of thinking is reflected in frames that combine geometric harmony with lasting comfort.

Clément works with bio-acetate, stainless steel and titanium. These materials are carefully combined to create eyewear that is lightweight, comfortable and defined by clean lines.

Wood also plays a distinctive role in the collection. Different types of wood are paired with acetate or metal, resulting in unique material combinations.

For Clément, colour is a natural part of every frame's design. On acetate, colours appear richer; on metal, they take on a cooler tone. Together, these materials create a new visual expression that truly comes to life when the frames are worn.

Clément places great emphasis on local production, durable materials and long-lasting eyewear.

Every frame is made to order, avoiding unnecessary stock and overproduction. This means that only the frames we specifically order make their way to ZITA.

Clément eyewear is available in the brand's own boutique in Strasbourg and through selected optical stores.

The brand also occasionally collaborates with other creatives. One example is the Sable sunglasses collection, created in partnership with Cercle Magazine.

We first discovered Clément Lunetier at one of the international eyewear trade fairs. Their approach to design, materials and craftsmanship convinced us that this was exactly the kind of brand we wanted to bring to ZITA.

If Clément has caught your eye, we invite you to visit our optical store in Pradiareň and try the collection for yourself.
