Buyer Lenka keeps an eye on fresh arrivals while remembering proven classics. Her selection of curatorial treats follows no dictate – quite the opposite, it's a symbol of unique style.

At ZITA, she's in charge of selecting designer frames from the independent brands in our portfolio. She visits optical trade shows, tracking news from beloved ateliers and discovering new names. She sees her work as a chance to bring a unique perspective to the world of optics.

When choosing, she thinks about several criteria the frames should meet. She's guided by a combination of intuition, aesthetics, and function. The most important factor remains that the brand and its story fit our optician's perfectly.

"In my eyes, every frame in our collection has its own story, so it always gives customers a feeling of specialness. What makes me happiest, though, is when our opticians tell us about customers who come in with a specific idea, but leave not just with a functional health aid, but with a frame that highlights their personality – they feel confident in it and truly themselves."

We asked Lenka to put together her own curatorial selection of eyewear favorites that you'll also find on our shelves. Frames from four brands won her over with their inventive shapes and unusual color combinations.

Gamine

Lenka's first favorite is the Gamine Nave model, radiating gentle femininity with a touch of retro cheek. She compares the violet acetate to melted Bonpari candy. She finds in it a balance between elegance and sophistication.

Another frame from the New York brand Gamine she considers a personal favorite. She has it in her own collection in prescription version. It won her over with its minimalist yet thoughtful design. The subtle small cutout on the sides isn't too bold, but it definitely catches the eye at first glance.

Nina Mûr

Lenka likes Nina Mûr frames for their playful and unique style, so the Madrid brand couldn't be missing from her selection.

"The fuchsia color with wood backing is a brilliant energetic combination that's sure to brighten anyone's day."

weareannu

Lenka also included the PANTO 07 M model from German brand weareannu in her picks. She appreciates its modern and technologically innovative approach, but also can't help loving the thicker rim and burgundy color. A minimalist frame with ultra-light design you'll barely feel on your face.

Jean Philippe Joly

The last unique piece comes from Jean Philippe Joly. Lenka associates it with French charm and the designer's boldness in combining striking shapes and colors. The French brand's frames are especially for those unafraid to stand out from the crowd.

"Each of these brands brings something exceptional to our collection and complements our philosophy. We're guided by wanting to offer stylish and quality frames from independent designers. My goal is for every customer to find a frame with us that not only adorns them, but represents their personality."
