Curator Naty: For me, the feeling when choosing frames is key

There are people who choose glasses based on trends. At our optician's, though, Naty decides mainly by feeling.

For Naty, frames are more than just a practical aid or fashion accessory. They're a way to tune into the day and highlight a part of her personality. In the time she's been at ZITA, she's managed to run around a few trade fairs, get to know plenty of brands, and sharpen her own taste.

In the ZITA team, Naty started out as an optician. She focused on selecting glasses for customers and had a good sense for what suits whom. Gradually she made it to trade fairs too, where she began taking more interest in frame quality, design, and the stories behind brands that would naturally fit into our optician's.

Today she manages the operation and spends part of her days in the office. But when needed, she's happy to return to the shop floor – to the frames and customers.

Her curated selection is made up of frames she's tried herself and that found their way to her through that right feeling, that they simply belong with her. They have to sit well on the face, but even more, they have to capture her mood.

Some are playful, others bold, still others delicate or interesting in their details. Each one has something in it that caught her eye at first sight and won her over from the first moment.

Jean Philippe Joly

The Danseur frame from French elegant Jean Philippe Joly was chosen by Naty for its unexpected play of colors. Thanks to interchangeable rims, she can adapt it according to her mood.

When she craves softness, she goes for the single-color version. But if the day calls for contrast and radiance, the frame instantly transforms into a striking solitaire.

Gamine

In the Pinheiros model from Gamine, Naty found glasses that are the best silver jewelry for her. She had no idea a frame could fully replace earrings or a necklace – and sometimes even outshine them.

Delicate metal lines, an unconventional shape, and cool reflections won her over instantly at one of the trade fairs. Since then, the frame has had a special place in her collection.

Ross & Brown

From the workshop of the Italian brand comes an originally sunglass frame that Naty converted to prescription. The Monaco V model appears neutral at first glance, but in sunlight it reveals hidden details and burgundy reflections.

With it, Naty shows you don't need to be afraid of thicker lines or bolder shapes. Sometimes it's worth experimenting a little. The result can definitely surprise.

"I simply had to convert the originally sunglass frame to prescription. Judge for yourselves – isn't it magnificent?"

Theo

Every new brand in the range is a small temptation for Naty. With the Belgian atelier Theo, she didn't stop at just admiring. The royal blue Collins model won her over right away. From the first try-on, she knew it belonged with her.

A frame that completes her personality and color-coordinates with her everyday environment accompanies her at work and beyond. After all, what could be better than matching your glasses with ZITA's colors?

"The feeling when choosing a frame is key for me. I have a specific face shape and not every frame sits on me in a way that I feel natural in it. The design that complements my personality is also important. Even so, I couldn't wear stylish glasses if they lacked that right feeling."
