Optician Naty: the heart of the operation and its creative soul
When Naty first learned that optics could be studied, she knew right away. As a long-time glasses wearer herself, she was drawn to diving into the optical world. She loved the variety this profession offered – from manual skills and frame and lens selection to the grinding itself.

First meeting with ZITA
She'd known about ZITA before she applied for the job opening. "I watched from afar how they were evolving. The way they operated intrigued me, and when they opened a new position, I didn't hesitate to try," Naty recalls. Today she says it was the best decision of her life. "I love my work and I'm so grateful to ZITA for helping me grow not just professionally, but personally too."
Choosing glasses is a matter of the heart
Glasses have been part of her life since she was three, but finding the right frame was never easy for her. "I have specific face parameters and not everything suits me. As a wearer, I'm demanding – there has to be that click. If a frame doesn't appeal to me immediately, both visually and in comfort, I couldn't wear it. It would end up forgotten on a shelf," she laughs.
Which makes helping customers find the right frame all the more enjoyable for her. "I love watching their reactions when they try on frames I've chosen for them. They're often surprised themselves at how well they fit."
From the shop floor to management
Naty's been at ZITA for a good few years now, and her role has evolved along with her. She gradually moved from working on the shop floor to becoming operations manager last year. Today she spends more time in the office, but she's happy to pop out to the shop floor when needed. "I like the balance – I can be part of what's happening and also handle things from behind the scenes."

Free time and an analog camera
In her free time, she most enjoys moments with family and her godchildren – Teo and Dorotka. When she has time just for herself, she turns on music, picks up a brush or camera, and immerses herself in creating. A few years ago she discovered the magic of analog photos, which won her heart.
"I photograph Teo and Dorotka a lot, they're my little muses. The camera came with me to the last optical trade fair too, where I took a few shots of our suppliers and friends from other brands. The camera accompanied me on my first solo trip and will definitely come along on the next ones."
